The working public can not afford to keep multiple generations in free housing, free food, free medical with cable, Internet, phones and a/c.
Welfare was designed for the short term to help people get back on their feet. Recipients should be urged by all means possible to leave the welfare system. Programs should be designed to discourage parenthood until self-sufficient.
It would be cheaper to pay someone not to have a child than pay to support multiple generations.
