The wealthy should contribute to society by capping their yearly income and redistributing it to help job growth, small businesses, fund programs and to keep business competition balanced.
For example, the NFL and NBA has salary caps so the leagues are little more balanced. If there was no salary cap on teams, you'd have an all star team that would beat all other teams. So the NFL and NBA give each team a certain amount of money to spend yearly and Draft picks to keep competition healthy.
So instead of taxing people who can't afford it, just put a salary cap on what a citizen can make yearly. Put the remaining funds to good use in government programs or to start to payoff the deficit.
