This petition proposes that a Senator or House Representative's Annual Salary Should be equal to the Average Annual Household Income for the State they Represent.
This would also remove the power to vote a raise for themselves from the senate and house. The rate will only be subject to change should the Average Annual Household Income change in their state. This rate of pay will be judged biased on yearly tax return statistics, and my change once per year. This rate will never Fall below the poverty line.
In Addition the president of the united states will receive a salary That is double the Salary of the highest paid Senator.
These changes should serve as incentive for lawmakers to improve the quality of living in the entire U.S.A.
