set strict laws against animal abuse and cruelty, especially on video, and to increase the punishment for offenders

There has been a growing number of animal abuse recordings posted online. This is shameful and an act that should be punished. The public does not believe this is free speech. This is murder. There needs to be federal laws and regulations that strengthen the punishment for animal abuse and neglect cases. These are our pets, our friends, and our family. We need to work together and speak for these animals in saying, ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. This needs to stop. This is an important matter and it needs to be addressed. The people are saying this is not okay and something needs to be done. Children are being raised seeing these acts and need to understand it is not okay to mutilate animals for fun, entertainment, or for "likes." Life is life, and it should be protected under law.
