Our president is limited to two terms in office. However, members of the House and Senate can serve continuously until voted out of office. While many have turned a blind eye to this, it is a very dangerous practice. There is a reason that we use language like "serving" and "holding office".These positions were never intended to be careers. The people who lead our nation should serve their time and return to their full-time lives. That way, the turnover alone would reduce the amount of partisanship as well as the possibility of corruption.
