The fact that there is currently no term limit for Congressional representatives means that we have had representatives that have served 22, 25, 36, 38, 51, and even 57 years. (http://www.nationaljournal.com/pictures-video/the-longest-serving-member...)
Consequentially, these representatives have served through more than 1 generation and are now representing newer and younger generations with new ideals and interests regarding issues such as social media and women's rights that the representatives had not faced and had potentially been raced with biases that have become outdated and contrary to the growing number of young people in the population.
By putting a term limit on Congress, we can ensure that fresh faces and ideas create change.
