Currently congresspersons have terms of 2 years, and senators 6 years, but there is no limit to the amount of terms either can have. I believe that the main problem we have in the country is outdated thinking as well as lobbyist influenced reps. Setting term limits of 2 terms for senators, and 6 terms for congressional reps. Making it a maximum term of 12 years in their current seat.
