Senators serve for 6 years and get retirement that needs to be eliminated. Also some of the members are so old they weren't even alive when the color tv came about. The house of representatives is similar except shorter terms and yet they also are so severly out of touch with america. Term limits would help this and leds well to my next point.
There are all these talks about cuts here and cuts there, how bout we get rid of Elected Officials pensions? 1 term of president and you get retirement?! 1 term as a senator the same? You talk about cutting military pensions and health plans and they work harder then you and dont come from wealth like the most of our elected officials.
Also before cutting military personnell how about cutting some of the burgeoning federal work force.
