set term limits for the House of Representatives and the Senate.

Politics has become a job rather than true representation in our government. Elected officials are to represent their constituency and then return home to their a job outside of the elected duties. The current system encourages politicians to make politicking a career and to focus on the next election or pleasing large donors. We need to set term limits for the Senate and the House to refocus on the actual representation of the people's will. By limiting the time an official is in office, they will hopefully then focus on creating and passing meaningful legislation rather than what will get them re-elected or paid. They would also reform the pay scale and benefits, as this is a part time job, they should get paid and benefit as such.
