Some U.S. Congressmen and Congresswomen have been drifting away from the districts and states that they represent. I propose that the terms be limited to a total of 8 years combined service with an exception being that a Senator had been elected to 2 consecutive terms without being elected to the House of Representatives. This will allow more citizens to become involved with U.S. politics and reduce the amount of career politicians improving the efficiency of congress.
