Without term limits, the Senate and House have become stagnant, with party lines and no work towards a bi-partisan agenda to better America. With the recent government shutdown being a direct consequence of partisan agendas by career politicians, it's time that we the people make a stand to limit terms in the House of Representatives and Senate to a maximum of 4 years, without the allowance of reelection. This is the first step in reforming the American government, preventing another government shutdown, and narrowing the chances of such abhorrent neglect of responsibilities leading to America defaulting on its debt.
