Set tougher standards for the fast food industry that require them offer healthier food options to help fight obesity.

Created by S.M. on August 16, 2012

The fast food industry is making America obese. The few healthy options they do offer on their menus are usually more expensive than their fatty counterparts. There is zero accountability within the industry and little to no incentive for these restaurants to offer healthier options. We have become a nation of convenience and we constantly look to these restaurants to feed our families. I believe that these restaurants have a moral obligation to the citizens of this country and right now they are in dereliction of these obligations. With the rate of obesity multiplying exponentially, someone needs to step in and prevent this from happening any longer. If the government can impose stricter standards to the auto industry, why can't they do the same thing to the fast food industry?
