There is certainly a problem with illegal immigrants, but the solution should not be fruitless attempts to close our borders. Many of these illegal immigrants are escaping situations so bad that they would rather reside in the U.S. without any legal protection (if the they attempt to go to the law, they run the risk of being sent back) than remain in their homeland. We petition the White House to put effort forth to fix this problem and set up a system that allows illegal immigrants to obtain citizenship. This system would keep a close eye on them for a "trial period" if the immigrants are unable to get a job or place of residence, or commit any crime, they are sent back. But if they meet these and other conditions (set up how the government sees fit), they may apply for legal citizenship.
