Setup and enforce federal balance billing laws for medicaid recipients receiving out of state emergency care

Created by N.F. on March 01, 2014

Mr. President,

My name is Nicholas F. and I am requesting that your administration recommend and if enabled enforce Balance Billing laws on a federal scale for medicaid recipients. There are three reasons why and how the administration can do this. First, for Medicaid recipients who are seen out of their respective state on an Emergency basis are usually responsible for the remaining total charged amount. Second, enforcement could be provided by paying out on an average of all 50 states medicaid fee schedules on a simple if your state pays more than the treatment state they get the average and have to do write off. Finally, with an averaged 50 state fee schedule this country could finally start to find a way to reduce health care costs. These are the reason's this needs to be done.
