Setup and Enforce regulations on Theme Park Rides that have the potential to cause injury or result in fatality.

Theme parks have become a common destination for individuals and families. Despite the number of visitors, there are very few enforced regulations on theme park rides. The events that occurred during the week of July 20 are prime indicators of the potential damages surrounding unregulated rides. It was not only a fatal, tragic accident, but a son now must continue life without his mother. Some rides exceed 100mph and decline at over 400ft drops; there is clearly no way of stopping the ride during an emergency. Instead of addressing these security issues, they have us 'sign' an acknowledgement the risk and release by purchasing a ticket. I petition that the Obama administration address these issues and enforce new laws to regulate these potentially dangerous rides.
