Our government is engaging with ex-leaders of Monsanto and others such as Michael R. Taylor, Deputy Commissioner for Foods, FDA, who are in a position to side-step established policy and aide in drafting laws that may be detrimental to the American food supply.
These people and organizations are ignoring the charter of the FDA, to be "responsible for protecting the public health" without scientific facts and ignoring such laws as food labeling and food safety, and driving farming families into bankruptcy.
Mr. President, I respectfully ask you to uphold your oath to our constitution, and "promote the general Welfare" for those who cannot, and sever ties with Monsanto and all individuals and organizations that may tend to harm American food safety and farming families.
