Staffing services and temp services have conspired to drive down the prevailing wage and deny workers long term benefits while reaping huge profits.
Enact laws eliminating "Temp To Hire" and "Temp To Perm" work, all jobs offered by temp-services are to be long-term contracts with benefits after 14 days at a MINIMUM LIVING WAGE of at least $13.75 an hour. Short-term contract positions are to offer full benefits paid by staffing service regardless of duration of contract. Short-term contract wages would be locked at a MINIMUM LIVING WAGE of $13.75.
Restrict services from recruiting using state and federal job-search services (such as DOL), forbid all services from advertising short term contracts (1 day to 90 day no hire/no contract renewal) on state and federal job-search services.
