Recently, Forbes Magazine ranked Atlanta as the Most Miserable Sports City in the country. A large portion of this misery is derived from the continual failure of the Braves to produce anything resembling a successful season. Despite having three hall of fame inductees this year, franchise morale is at an all-time low and it would appear that the Braves will again miss the playoffs.
The purpose of this petition is to beseech the Obama administration to exhort all manner of executive influence to convince Major League Baseball to shorten the season to 100 games. The good people of Atlanta cannot take year after year of August and September failures from the Braves. Please end this suffering.
