shorten the youth minimum wage length of time allowed

Created by T.E. on September 10, 2013

Currently, employers are allowed to pay any employee under age 20 a rate of $4.25 per hour for the first 90 days of employment. At this time me and so far 2 of my friends and me have been abused by this tactic our bosses have employed us for 89 days paying $4.25 per hour with the promise we would get a raise on our 90th day as per the law. unfortunately this was just enough time to make us all hate our job and effectively force us to quit and the boss simply replaces us

We believe the pay period shall be shortened to 30 days so the boss will chose to keep employees for longer instead of just making us quit before the 90 days are up and having a constant supply of workers for $4.25 per hour with only 30 days to decide the percent of time spent training the employees out of the period 3x
