Many studies have shown that around 85% of teenagers are sleep deprived. Our argument is when an individual has not slept, their brain cannot process things as well as when they have a good nights sleep. If we have shorter school days but the same amount of learning our test scores could have the ability to go through the roof. Our proposition is a school day that is half the amount of time we have now. For example: Monday hours would be from 9:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Tuesday hours would be from 1:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. This pattern would keep going from Sunday-Friday, and we would have Saturday off. This arrangement would allow for more rest, and a better way of learning.
