Should move to further the efforts of the digital 'We the People' movement and establish an online democratic exchange.

Created by J.S. on November 08, 2011

I move that we should open up direct communication via the internet to allow local, state, and federal elected officials facilitated communication to their represented citizens.

Through polls, petitions, and open debate forums you can allow more people's voice to be easily heard.

When I write my representatives I get a canned reply in which my concerns are not addressed. This is currently the standard in communicating with your elected official. I do not feel that I am being heard or represented.

With as rapid and dynamic as the social, political, and economic environments are there needs to be a better way for the citizens to inform their representative government on how to best represent their current feelings. Which may not be the feelings they had at the time of the election.
