show amnesty for Private Bradley Manning and hold military leaders accountable for violations of the Geneva Conventions.

Nobel Peace Prize nominee Private Bradley Manning saw injustice and acted when he published classified documents on the anti-secrecy website WikiLeaks, that have illuminated such issues as the true number and cause of civilian casualties in Iraq, along with a number of human rights abuses by U.S.-funded contractors and foreign militaries, and the role that spying and bribes play in international diplomacy. The military was not operating in accordance with international law or its own standards of conduct, yet Private Manning has been in prison for over 900 days and has been subjected to cruel and unusual punishment without even standing trial. Instead of punishment, Pfc Manning should be commended for the injustice he exposed. We the People urge the administration to free Bradley Manning
