Show appropriate respect for Medal of Honor recipients

Whereas, it is a commonly accepted sign of respect for the Commander-in-Chief, to come to attention, and salute Medal of Honor recipients;
Whereas, this traditional salute is accepted as a sign of respect not only for the person wearing it, but toward all who have ever earned our country's highest military honor;
Whereas, every President prior to the current one has observed this tradition;
Whereas, President Obama, as Commander-in-Chief , has failed to salute recipients of the Medal of Honor after making the presentation, on more than one occasion, including most recently Staff Sgt. Romesha;
Therefore, we the undersigned of this petition request a public apology by President Obama to those Medal of Honor recipients who were dishonored, and render appropriate salute in the future
