show "credit card balance" on 1040 tax forms estimating minimum payment to A) balance budget B) pay nat'l debt in 30 yrs

Created by C.V. on January 15, 2013

Educate income tax filers on what it takes to pay off the national debt via taxes only. Append a "Credit Card Balance Statement" section to 1040 tax forms showing (a) average person's estimated portion of U.S. national debt balance (b) average person's estimated "minimum payment" needed just to balance the yearly budget (c) average person's estimated "minimum payment" needed to pay off U.S. national debt over 30 years. Estimates would assume other tax sources remain unchanged and only income tax makes up the difference. Estimates would assume income taxes needed for "minimum payment" increase using same ratios the tax brackets currently have. Provide a link for people to compare their specific case or tax bracket instead of the average person's case for a,b and c or to alter assumptions
