We petition the White House to show it's support for the safety of children by keeping the White House flag lowered to half mast until responsible gun ownership legislation is passed by Congress and signed into law by the President. A simple reminder to this country of the tragedy that occurred at Sandy Hook Elementary on December 14th, and one which continues to occur every day in this country since then.
The death of any child is a tragedy. The ten thousand deaths of children due to gun violence since 2008 is a national shame.
