On the behalf of Americans concerned about racial conflict and inequalities in the country today, we call on President Obama to use his bully pulpit, like he has on similar issues, to persuade his congressional caucus to integrate the ranks of it's membership as a show of leadership and credibility. During the recent months of racial conflict, there has been much rhetoric about racial inequalities in the country as a whole but little said about the persistent discrimination at the pinnacle of black political power, the Congressional Black Caucus. President Obama can enhance his credibility by influencing his caucus to end it's discriminatory admission policies by allowing people who look like his mother to become CBC members, a racially segregated CBC is as archaic as the Confederate flag.
