The term “human rights” is defined in the New Oxford American Dictionary as a right that is believed to belong justifiably to every person. The right to control and own one’s own body should absolutely be counted among those rights. No one should be allowed to control the power a woman has over her own body, especially not through prejudicial laws, taxes, and invasive procedures meant to incite guilt. We petition the Obama administration to show support and protection for safe and healthy routes to birth control and abortion, as well as comprehensive sexual education, in every state.
