SHUT DOWN THE GUANTANAMO BAY DETENTION CAMP

Created by A.K. on April 15, 2013

The Guantanamo Bay detention camp is a detainment and interrogation facility of the U.S military. It was established in Jan. 2002 to hold detainees it had determined to be connected with opponents in the Global War on Terror including Afghanistan and later Iraq. Keeping Muslims as prisoners at the detention camp holds no respect or right over such doings. It was promised three years ago for it's closure, yet still has not been established. Shortly after the Sept. 11 attacks, the Bush administration decided to hold prisoners in the war on terrorism at a military base off the U.S. mainland. But that calculation went awry. The Supreme Court, though closely split, has concluded three times now that the law and the authority of independent judges extend to Guantanamo Bay. Please shut it down.
