After reading all these petitions for all sorts of different states to secede from the union and turning the white house website into a public web forum where anyone can submit nonsensical requests for the government to take actions on certain things, it has become clear that this should be stopped as it constitutes:
1) Misuse of public funds: Petitions that reach certain number will require federal employees to waste time on matters of opinion for a small cross section of the country's population. Which in terms wastes tax payers money.
2) National security threats: Certain petitions on this site are inciting panic and uncertainty among the American people causes anything from civil unrest to stock market fluctuation.
