This site, while well-intentioned, is ludicrous. A petition with only 25,000 signatures requires a White House response. 1) 25,000 in today's social-media age is an incredibly small threshold. Make it to 2,500,000 and then you've got something worth discussing. 2) You, the White House, have better things to do than respond to every wild idea that comes along. 3) Media also has better things to talk about than the latest crazy petition. 4) Tactically, it's too easy to "petition-bomb" the White House with a subject that any response to will be politically harrowing. 5) Yes, I get that this is a petition to end petitions and will need 150,000 signatures to get a White House response. It's called irony and it's awesome.
