The Department of Energy was established to move America into energy independence so that we would not have to depend on foreign oil or other sources of energy.
They have FAILED in their primary position as we are more dependent on foreign sources then ever. Additionally, as the Depart of Energy has never produced one single watt or energy of any kind, the fact that the energy their buildings consume to simply stay open, is actually causing a greater dependence on foreign energy-
Their existence is a direct contradiction of their mandate.
