I believe shutting down the IRS and implementing a national sales tax on any and every purchase or service made in the United States or it's territiories would help in generating more income to help alleviate our country's national debt. This would generate income from citizens, non-citizens and visitors alike. This would include first time purchases and re-sale items or services. Prices would reflect higher rates everywhere but the working public would also see major increases in their take home pay. I believe it should be a percentage of the amount spent. The more expensive the item or service, the more income made for the national debt for fairness to lower income families to the rich.
