This is why we can not have nice things. The majority of petitions on this site are petitions to legalize marijuana, to ban assault weapons, to defend the second amendment, for states to secede from the union (I'm amazed these haven't been removed yet), to impeach people up to and including the president, to recount the election, trying people for treason, and even deporting people whose views and opinions we do not agree with.
The misuse of this site is rampant and detracts from legitimate use, burys legitimate petitions under loads of crap, and quite frankly makes us all look like idiots. Please shutdown this site untill such time as a better sytem can be put in to place or permanently if necessary.
