We the people, to whom Congress and the Senate answer, find it highly unacceptable to "Shutdown" any part of the government without our consent. Today, we are enraged and ashamed of our Government and embarrassed at how this appears to the rest of the world.
We demand that a document be drafted, outlining unacceptable tactics and behaviors of senate and congressional leaders, and including repercussions for violations. This document shall be drafted with direct input from the public and neither the senate nor congress shall have a say in the matter.
Further, we demand that any future shutdowns shall suspend all congressional and senate salaries, and no American shall owe federal tax during the shutdown period.
We will not tolerate any form of this situation again.
