Sign The Convention on the Rights of the Child UN Treaty

The treaty would grant civil liberties to all children including provisions ensuring that children are raised in an atmosphere of happiness, love and understanding, governments respect the rights and duties of parents and families, courts take into account the best interest of children when making decisions, institutions that care for children are safe and properly staffed, and children are protected from trafficking, illicit transfer across borders, torture, physical abuse, sexual exploitation, sexual abuse, and conscription into armed conflicts. Currently the only countries who have not signed the treaty are the United States and Somalia. The treaty grants responsibilities and protections to parents and guardians and will not infringe on their rights as caretakers.
