It is up to us to make the changes. I am asking the president to consider looking at salary cuts for himself, the vice president, and members of the house and senate. A 20% pay cut on the base pay of $400,000 (presidents estimated base pay) would be $80,000. For the salary of $230,700 (vice president estimated salary) would be $46,140. And for the 435 members of the house plus the 100 senate members who make around $174,000, 20% would be $34,800. 34800x535=18,618,000+80,000+46140=18,744,140
Based on the estimated salaries, the United States Government would save $18,744,140 a year
