sign an Executive Order preventing Agencies from using administrative furloughs as a mean to meet current sequestration

Created by T.G. on March 02, 2013

Request the President sign an Executive Order preventing Agencies from using administrative furloughs to meet current sequestration reductions. The government employees pay has been frozen for 3yrs while health care and other benefits has increased. The Government employee has made significant sacrifices and to invoke a 22 day discontinuous furlough equates to a 40% tax burden to the Government worker. Furlough is the easiest and fastest way for Agencies to reduce cost instead of making the needed programs cuts, and eliminate wasteful spending The benefit of an Executive Order is the synergy of the workforce not worrying about pay, increased moral and redirecting that energy to evaluating program cuts. The Govt workforce shouldn't be held hostage due to the lack of a bipartisan agreement.
