Sign an executive order to reinstate the Federal Assault Weapons Ban, to make it and permanent ban on all assault rifles

In light of the most recent school shooting and due to the fact that most mass shootings have been done with assault rifles, we believe that it is necessary to remove these weapons from the public. These weapons have no right to be in the hands of the public as they serve no purpose outside the military setting. Using an assault rifle for self defense or hunting is not necessary. These kinds of weapons were designed for military use only due to the mass amount of destruction they inflict.
