Sign an executive order requiring federal government contractors to disclose political spending.

Created by S.W. on July 03, 2015

President Obama should sign an executive order requiring corporations who contract with the federal government to publicly disclose their political spending. In addition, contractors should be required to certify that they are in compliance with a conflict of interest policy specifically addressing the disclosure of political campaign contributions. Currently, corporations who receive government contracts can legally bribe the politicians who award them these contracts by making huge campaign contributions. Adding transparency to the contractor selection process helps to ensure fairness.
