I ask that President Obama sign an executive order that would order to add 74 names to the Viet Nam Memorial Wall. Seventy Four men lost their lives on 6/3/69 when their ship, the USS Frank E Evans was struck and sunk by the HMS Melbourne while conducting naval exercises in the South China sea. The names of these sailors who lost their lives that night deserve to have their names on The Wall alongside all of the others who lost their lives serving our country. The ship was instrumental in securing beaches and shelling enemy fortifications on the Viet Nam coast just weeks before this tragic accident. Please use your authority to order the DOI to add their names to The Wall. May 17th is Memorial Day and what a statement it would make to do this in celebration of Memorial Day.
