The United States and Canada are the ONLY developed nations that still grant automatic citizenship to all children born within their borders, regardless of the citizenship or residential status of their parents.
It is in the vital economic and security interest of the United States to amend/clarify the current citizenship laws so that automatic birthright citizenship shall ONLY be granted to children who have at least one parent who is a U.S. citizen, a legal permanent resident or an alien serving in the U.S. military.
