Sign your Draft Executive Order requiring government contractors to disclose their political contributions

Created by W.W. on December 08, 2011

Today Republicans are opposing any disclosure of campaign contributions made by those doing business with the Federal Government. But as Republican Sen. McConnell once said, "Why would a little disclosure be better than a lot of disclosure?" And as Republican John Boehner once said, "I think what we ought to do is we ought to have full disclosure, full disclosure of all the money that we raise and how it is spent. And I think sunlight is the best disinfectant."

President Obama issued a Draft Executive Order 4/13/11 that would implement this. No Congressional action is required, and it would be fully constitutional.

On 7/28/11, 62 members of Congress wrote to the President urging him to sign it. PLEASE ADD YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT BY SIGNING THIS PETITION. Sunlight remains the best disinfectant
