The United States Mint should lessen their production of pennies and/or nickels.
According to the United States Mint's 2011 Annual Report, the manufacturing price of a penny is approximately 2.41 cents. This is .41 cents above its value.
The manufacturing price of a nickel is approximately 11.18 cents. This is 6.18 cents above its value.
To establish a prosperous system for the Department of Treasury and coin production, to support the United States Government, we must take action by decreasing the production of these coins!
Additionally, we can significantly increase production of quarters, dimes, and $1 coins. $1 coins, according to the 2011 Report, are worth 81.97 cents above the manufacture price! Dimes are worth about 4.4 cents above their cost, and quarters are 13.86 cents!
