We the people ask the federal government to Call on Congress to act on an issue:

Signing The Sentencing Reform and Corrections Act (S.2123) into law is long overdue.

Created by E.Z. on November 10, 2016

As the number of Americans imprisoned reaches staggering heights the legislative branch has locked this bill in a political stalemate, neither requesting modification or motioning to make it law. This proposition very explicitly and significantly affects the lives of thousands of federal prisoners. Offering relief for non-violent offenders who have received outrageous sentences for drug related offences. We are losing the war on drugs. At the cost of $31,000 per prisoner annually we do not want to fund this war. We do not want our liberties curtailed and our family members incarcerated for non-violent offences. As per the Federal Bureau of Prison 46% of all Federal Prisoners are sentenced due to drug related offences. This abridgment of liberty needs to be addressed we have waited too long
