Simplify airplane ticket pricing so that the advertised price is what you actually pay to fly.

Created by M.S. on November 18, 2012

We petition the government to add some modest regulations to the airline industry requiring that online ticket prices be standardized across all carriers and that these prices include the basics of ordinary travel. As citizens who usually fly with more than just the clothes on our backs, we ask the government to mandate that all airplane ticket prices include: 1) carry-on luggage; 2) one piece of ordinary-sized checked baggage; 3) security; 4) all taxes and take-off and landing fees; 5) fuel without additional surcharges; 6) the seat on the plane. We don't think it unreasonable to ask that the prices we are quoted be the prices we actually pay.
