The current system is horrible. Monstrously complex, unfair and inefficient. There is a principle that we use in the technology industry KISS (Keep it simple stupid) as it is well know that complexity decreases supportability, and increases opportunity for failure and mistakes. Take that to heart, throw away the tax code and either move to a flat tax or a plain and simple graduated tax code. Eliminate the IRS, which is a huge waste of money and bureaucracy. That money can be better spent either reducing the deficit or expanding healthcare.
