Simplify the US Tax Code.

Created by A.M. on December 24, 2012

In 2010, the US Tax Code contained 71,684 pages. The inherent complexity creates an undue hardship for most taxpayers and a labyrinth of loopholes for those with the resources to exploit them. The result is that government revenues are drained by inefficiency.

When it is physically impossible for any of our government officials to read the entire text of the US Tax Code, how is it rational to write new legislation that builds on it?

We strongly recommend that the President require the US Congress to address this as an urgent priority.
