Insurance Companies have reaped enormous profits from the Affordable Care Act. Their executives are being compensated far beyond their worth. Recently, the USDoJ opposed Aetna's takeover of Humana as it threatened to create a monopoly in the market place. In retaliation, Aetna threatened to pull out of the ACA and now United Health Care & Blue Cross are threatening to abandon markets, in all likelihood, for political reasons. If Health Care companies can't survive on enormous profits, it's time to ditch the industry and go to single payer. This was not my original belief. I thought the ACA in a public/private partnership was working. But it's clear that modern-day robber barons care more about the bottom line than about the American people. ENOUGH! Time for single payer.
