It is time that the United States of America joined the fold of modernity and embraced the universally accepted idea that healthcare is a human right. It is a Second Generation Human Right espoused by the entirety of the industrialized world. No man, women, or child should be denied this right. Healthcare should not be treated as a mere 'service' on the antiquated altar of propertarianist platitudes. The United States federal government in the act of not upholding this universal right has by default left the governed to the ravages of human rights abuses. The united States federal government must adopt a single-payer system similar to that which is now promoted and practiced in all other major industrialized nations.
