There is no nationally recognized Indian Holiday. We have Martin Luther King Jr. Day and Columbus Day but no holiday recognizing American Indians. This is a slap in the face of Indians everywhere. Additionally, there is a month dedicated to African Americans there should also be a month dedicated to American Indians because it was the Indians that were the original inhabitants of these United States before Indians were pushed unto reservations.
